Event Description
The aim of this event is to bring together students affiliated with CIIMAR and CCMAR in a relaxed and welcoming environment to share the outcomes of their work. We hope this event will not only expand scientific knowledge but also strengthen connections between these students working across different groups and laboratories within the Universities of Porto and Algarve. Sessions will showcase diverse research areas and feature renowned scientists sharing their careers and achievements.
• Target Audience: Students (BSc, MSc, PhD) and researchers
• Organizers/Partners: The event is organized by CIMAR-LA, specifically by the PhD Student Committees of the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) and the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR)

The conference will include three thematic sessions. Participants should select the one that best fits their work:

Registration and Participation
• Is registration required? Yes.
Registration is open to all CCMAR and CIIMAR members, as well as to students from the University of Algarve (UAlg) and the University of Porto (UP) who are affiliated with or interested in Environmental and Marine Sciences.
• How to register: Through the official BTC 2026 website.
Abstract submission for poster or oral presentations is open from May 4 (00:00 UTC+1, Lisbon) until May 29 (23:59 UTC+1, Lisbon).
We encourage those interested in participating to submit an abstract.
• Is the event free or paid? Registration and abstract submission are free of charge. Some optional activities may have a fee (e.g., conference dinner).
