My current interest is on fish cell lines applied to:
 

1. Biomineralization (to identify gene networks and signaling pathways involved in extracellular matrix mineralization),
2. Bioprospection (to identify bioactive compounds from natural resources with a mineralogenic effect),
3. Osteotoxicity (to identify pollutants or chemicals affecting extracellular matrix mineralization),
4. Cellular aquaculture (to develop tools for the production of animal proteins from cells)
