The CardioTech Meeting comprises two complementary events focused on cardiovascular imaging across the translational spectrum, from cells to humans:
- CardioTech Satellite Event - Accelerating Cardiovascular Imaging Innovation in Iberia, taking place on 14–16 December 2026 at the University of Algarve, Faro (Portugal).
- CardioTech Conference, taking place on 10–12 June 2027 at CaixaForum, Madrid (Spain).
We are delighted to invite you to join CardioTech: Cardiovascular Imaging Innovation & Translation, part of the new “la Caixa” Foundation Breakthrough Conferences on Biomedicine and Health series. CardioTech is a new international meeting focused on the future of cardiovascular imaging and the translation of innovative technologies from research into patient care. By bringing together researchers, clinicians, radiographers, engineers, physicists, trainees and innovators, CardioTech aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerate the development of next-generation cardiovascular imaging technologies.
The CardioTech Satellite Event (University of Algarve / 10-14 December 2026) brings advanced research, innovation, and technology into the relaxed setting of the sunny Algarve. It also offers practical “How to Scan” training, real clinical case discussions, and networking opportunities, creating an interactive learning environment for researchers, clinicians, radiographers, physicists, engineers, and trainees interested in advancing cardiovascular imaging and improving patient care.
FIRST STOP: FARO
The first CardioTech meeting will take place 14–16 December 2026 in Faro, Portugal.

We also invite you to contribute to the scientific programme by submitting abstracts on CardioTech-related topics for Oral Presentations and Posters (+Flash Talks).
Two types of abstracts may be submitted:
- Research Abstracts introducing original scientific work.
- Clinical Case Abstracts describing a clinical case, diagnostic techniques, key findings and learning points.
