Quantum Nature of Life

In one phrase /as requested by Prof. N. Bazhin, Novosibirsk/
Enzyme catalysis is controlled by quantum coherence, and therefore can not be described by quasi-classic theories (RRKM).
Thus, life itself has an essentially quantum nature.
Experiments are reported demonstrating the generally accepted lock-and-key theory and its variants are incorrect, as ATP, enzyme and substrate DO NOT have to be in a single complex, which should allegedly reduce the activation energy of the enzyme-catalyzed reaction. Instead, enzymatic catalysis is controlled by energy transfer operating in the quantum-coherent complex.

The seminar will be held on February 02, at 13:30, online via Zoom platform.
Participation is free, but mandatory to register. REGISTER HERE!
