This seminar will present Algas na Praia, a citizen science initiative for monitoring invasive seaweeds along the Portuguese coast, and its contribution to tracking Rugulopteryx okamurae. It will then explore how monitoring can connect with sustainable biomass valorization, highlighting ongoing research on invasive macroalgae as sources of vitamin K1 and other high-value bioactives with potential applications in health and biotechnology.
