Sobre o projeto
The MycoBoost project explores fungal endophytes from salt-tolerant plants in coastal ecosystems of the Algarve as a source of bioinoculants to enhance crop performance under salinity. It addresses a key knowledge gap in plant–microbe interactions by assessing whether these microorganisms can confer stress tolerance traits to non-tolerant crops. By advancing the use of native, stress-adapted microbiota, the project contributes to the development of scalable nature-based solutions to mitigate soil salinisation and support sustainable agriculture under changing climate conditions.
