I'm from Porto, Portugal, where I did my bachelor’s in Aquatic Sciences in Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar da Universidade do Porto. In my bachelor’s thesis, I had to perform a histological characterization of goldfish (C. auratus) feminine germinal cell maturation. At the moment, I am doing my master thesis at the University of Algarve and my master thesis title is "Melatonin seminal plasma in two comercial fish species with reproductive problems: Senegalese sole and European eel", supervised by Dr.ª. Catarina Oliveira and Dr.ª. Elsa Cabrita. I will be performing various molecular biology techniques in order to explore melatonin in these two species sperm quality in both wild and F1 broodstocks. I'm also a technical staff in Aquagroup for the project intituled as "Unrevealing the ecological impacts of nanoparticles toxicity on aquatic organisms reproduction".
Leonor Ferrão e Diogo Dias, realizaram a sua tese de mestrado no grupo de investigação AQUAGROUP do CCMAR e ganharam o prémio "Bolsa de estudo por mérito do ano letivo 2019/2020".
