I am enthusiastic and hard-working researcher with a broad background from Geology to Marine Sciences, lately specialized in marine biogeochemistry, atmosphere-ocean interaction, microbiology, and plastic pollution. During last years I have had the opportunity to work with scientists from diverse disciplines and from different worldwide institutions. This has allowed me to learn from their expertise, while I am able to substantially contribute in different scientific areas due to my broad view of Earth/Marine and Environmental Sciences. I am keen advocate that citizens are key actors to achieve a better ecological and socio-economical model, that’s the reason why I find dissemination activities of outstanding importance in the area of Environmental Sciences.

I have authored 9 publications in JCR journals, with 3 more articles currently in progress. I am also author of a doctoral dissertation and a chapter of a book. In addition, I have two insight commentaries published on special issues ("NextGen Voices") in the journal Sciences. The full list of publications can be found at my ORCID website. I frequently review manuscripts for the journals Deep Sea Research, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Environmental Science and Technology, FEMS Microbiology Ecology, JGR – Biogeosciences, Marine Pollution Bulletin and Science of the Total Environment.
