"Climate Change and the Oceans of the Future" on exhibition at the CCV in Tavira

The exhibition "Climate Change and the Oceans of the Future" has already opened again to the public and this time in the Algarve! This is an initiative of the researchers of MARE (Centre for Marine and Environmental Sciences) of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon together with the Museum do Mar Rei D. Carlos in Cascais.

Our researcher, Pedro Guerreiro, participates in this exhibition with the theme Climate Change in Antarctica.

This exhibition addresses the effects of climate change in general in specific habitats such as coral reefs, also focusing on impacts on nationally relevant activities such as fishing and aquaculture. There is also a variety of information on the research carried out in this field in the Guia Maritime Laboratory in Cascais (Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon), as well as examples of international, national and personal actions that can be taken to mitigate climate change.

The pieces will be on exhibition until 5 January 2020 at the Centro Ciência Viva in Tavira. Don’t miss it!
