Cármen Sousa won the prize for the best oral communication at SIBIC 2020

Cármen Sousa, researcher and PhD student of the CEIB group, has just won the prize for best oral communication with the "Evolution of the immune system in two antarctic notothenioids" presentation of the Noto-Immune project.

The prize “Premio de La Cátedra Luís de Camões de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid” was awarded during the VIII Iberic Congress of Ichthyology (SIBIC 2020), an online Congress that ends up today.

The researcher feels happy with the award and says “I felt happy to be recognized with this prize which means that people enjoyed and value our work, specifically my PhD project. This is an incentive to do the best we know for research and scientific knowledge”.

This is the third prize that Cármen receives during her PhD and within the project Noto-Immune.
